The Fisher Center Summit
& Berkeley World Business Analytics Awards 2022

Since 2017, the Fisher Center has been awarding the Woman of the Year, Project of the Year, and CIO of the Year annually.  The Berkeley World Business Analytics Awards celebrate impactful, ethical, and humane analytics work by recognizing women in applied business analytics, projects that impact social and environmental issues, and innovative work by young professionals. Diversity is imperative to business analytics and AI. We encourage nominations and applications from individuals who identify as LGBTQ+ and across different identities of race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, and ability.

This year’s theme is:  The keys to Inclusive and sustainable analytics: How technology, leadership, and innovative ways to run projects can promote inclusive and sustainable analytics and support better, fairer data. How can we foster inclusion and sustainability with actions that have a direct and immediate impact?

The Imperative for digital transformation for Ukraine

Adapting and innovating in a digital world is a not always a top priority for organizations around the world. For countries like Ukraine, it is an absolute necessity in order to prevail and prepare a sustainable future. We are bringing together Ukrainian officials and entrepreneurs with Haas faculty and fellows to present how transformation challenges can be tackled with impact.

Join us for an exclusive afternoon conference and cocktail to learn about research on the future of work, open innovation, about case studies on the “Army of Drones”, Ukrainian deep tech and cyber defense, lessons learned on entrepreneurship and hackathon at country-scale. See how digital transformation is essential to prepare Ukraine’s future.

With participation of: Olesya Zaluska (USAID CEP Director), Valeriy Dobrovolskiy (USAID CEP Future Industries Team Lead), Oleksandr Bornyakov (Ministry of Digital Transformation, Vice Minister), Natalia Denikeeva (Ministry of Digital Transformation, Director of IT industry development directorate), Diana Rakus (Ministry of Digital Transformation, Head of expert group on IT programs and VC), Pavlo Kartashov (Government Ukrainian Startup Fund, Director), Ihor Markevych (Government Ukrainian Startup Fund, Head of startup programs), Oleksandr Kulepin (Lviv State Regional Administration, Vice Governor, Chief Digital Transformation Officer) and Zhenia Bespalova (NGO Ukrainian Bridge, director).

The award ceremony will take place October 24th, 2022 at Women's Faculty Club, UC Berkeley
